Garden photography for private garden owners

Your garden, photographed as a keepsake

A garden takes years to make and looks its best for a few weeks each year. Clive photographs private gardens for the people who made them – as prints, as a privately printed book, or simply as a record of the garden at its best.

Questions

How much does it cost?

A day’s photography is quoted up front, with travel, once we know the garden or estate’s location along with its size or acreage. A privately printed book is priced separately, with factors such as size and number of copies determining the cost.

Will my garden be published?

Not unless you want it to be. Private gardens are photographed for their owners; nothing is published or licensed without your agreement, and many never are.

When should it be photographed?

When it is at its best – for most gardens a few weeks between May and July, though spring bulbs, late-summer borders and frost all have their moment. We hold a window and come when the forecast delivers.

What do I receive?

A curated edit of finished, retouched photographs, delivered digitally and yours to print and share, and the option of a book of the garden, edited and designed with the studio.

Do I need to be there?

No. Clive works from first light, often before the house is awake. Someone to open the gate is all that is needed.
